The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission is working to restore power to a number of affected areas across Trinidad, following a “major disturbance” which occurred just before 1 o clock this afternoon.

T&TEC says the cause of the outage is unknown at this time, however its engineers and independent contractors are working to have the matter resolved in the shortest possible time.

It estimated the issue would take at least 2-3 hours to resolve.
