Warning of illegal food shortages, created by international providers,David Abdullah is suggesting a buy local campaign to save foreign exchange as the country plunges into Pandemic economic hardship. And he wants the government to make an urgent investment in agriculture and food production.
That’s just some of the ideas from the Leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) who also urged the creation of a National Emergency Fund (NEF) out of which money will be paid as income support for workers who have lost jobs and for the self employed like taxi and maxi taxi drivers.

He also suggested a national bond issue financed through local banks, asked nationals abroad to bring back their foreign exchange to T&T where the interest rates are better and recommended the introduction of the Rent Control Law .
