Prison officer Stephon Richardson is the country’s latest victim of gun violence.

The 28 year old, who lived at Indian Walk, Moruga, was shot and killed on Sunday night.

Details surrounding his death are not yet known.

Richardson is the second prison officer to be murdered in under a month.

On September 18, prison officer Sherwin Francis, 48, was gunned down at his  Oasis Greens Chaguanas home. 

An inmate was put into solitary confinement and questioned with the murder, after an investigation revealed that he had threatened the officer just days before his killing.
