PTSC investigating claims of man being beaten on bus

The Public Transportation Service Corporation (PTSC) has given the assurance that they do not condone acts of violence towards passengers. The transport company issued a statement following claims which surfaced on Facebook on Sunday, in which a passenger claimed he was assaulted by a man after a PTSC bus driver allegedly called the man and asked him to beat him.

PTSC also confirmed that an internal investigation was underway.

“In light of the foregoing, the PTSC takes this opportunity to inform the public that we do not condone any form of violence. In keeping with our core values of openness, accountability, integrity, and efficiency, respect and being people focused, we remain committed to providing a safe, comfortable and reliable service to the people of TT.”
