With effect from tomorrow, Tuesday, April 6^th, all restaurants will be closed until April 30^th, according to Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley who announced a series of new measures to “intensify the compliance of the instruction.”

While saying that “by April15, it is quite likely and certainly possible that we may be in a worse position than we were in,” the Prime Minister announced the following:

• The stay at home order will go until April 30^th
• Effective immediately government is recommending persons in public wear masks over mouths and nostrils. The Ministry of Heath will distribute cloth masks by the end of the week.
• Hardwares, Electrical and Plumbing stores will be open from 8 am to Noon from Monday to Saturday.
• Retail services, markets supermarkets fruit stalls, vegetable stall, Bakeries and parlors and Fish vendors that provide food and medicine should be closed to the public by 6 pm
• Wholesale stores for food and medicine will be closed by 4pm
• Pharmacies close by 8pm..
• Schools will not reopen by April 30^th
• The date for the SEA Exams will be reassessed
• Religious gatherings will be reduced to five
