Central Division officers have arrested two robbery suspects and recovered a firearm with several rounds of ammunition. The seizure was made yesterday, December 18 around 8:45 pm.

According to the TTPS, officers of the Central Division Task Force (CDTF), Area North, Longdenville Police Post and Gran Couva Police Station, responded to an armed robbery report, where the victims were a 13-year-old girl, a 20-year-old man and 41-year-woman.

While they were conducting sales at a Mini Mart and Tyre Shop located at Main Road, Caparo, two masked men exited a silver Nissan AD Wagon, parked at the front of the business place, entered the establishment, and announced a robbery. The assailants then proceeded to take cigarettes and an undisclosed sum of cash, before they escaped in the AD Wagon.

The officers responded to the transmission and eventually intercepted the silver AD Wagon at Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas. Officers arrested two male suspects, a 29 and 35-year-old from Longdenville, and recovered one Smith and Wesson pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
