Official Statement From The Ministry of Works & Transport:

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise that authorization has been granted for an extension of the expiration date of Priority Bus Route Passes for Route Two Maxi Taxi Owners and Operators from June 30th, 2020 to December 31st, 2020.

Holders of Permits are further advised to adhere to and pay particular attention to the conditions stipulated on PBR Passes in keeping with the law. The renewal exercise for the period January-June 2021 will commence in November 2020.

The Ministry of Works and Transport is cognisant of the challenges faced by Maxi Taxi owners and operators during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we continue to treat with the “new normal” in Trinidad and Tobago, the role of public transportation continues to be an essential service.

The Ministry thanks the Route Two Maxi Taxi Association and its members for their patience and usual cooperation during this period.
