Emergency repairs are currently ongoing on a ruptured 600mm diameter transmission pipeline, at the Phoenix Park Industrial Estate, Point Lisas.

This was confirmed via a statement from the Water and Sewerage Authority which was issued on Saturday.

This has resulted in residents in several parts of Central Trinidad experiencing a disruption in their water supply.

WASA advises that repairs are expected to be completed by 7:00 p.m. tonight, Saturday.

Affected areas include:
• Claxton Bay – Cedarhill Road, Southern Main Road and environs
• Pranz Gardens
• Union Rd, Hermitage and environs
• Macaulay
• Bagitola
• St Margerets
