The registration forms for persons to apply for the Salary Relief Grant will be available online from Wednesday and in printed form on Thursday. Finance Minister Colm Imbert says that he expects the applications will be sent in by April 14th to begin the process to paying out the grant. These are the main points from a news conference hosted by Minister Imbert on Monday afternoon.
Grant is up to $1,500 for up to three months- April, May and June
If you were terminated from your job half way through the month of April, for example, you will get half of the amount for that month.
Eligible applicants are between 18 and 65 years those who have been involuntary terminated from bars and restaurants which had to close.
Alternatively others who had their employment suspended without pay.
Loss of income no earlier than March 19
You must have no other source of income
Both the employer and applicant must be registered with NIS
You must be citizen resident in Trinidad and Tobago

Print, scan and email the completed application form with supporting documents to a special email address srg@gov.tt
If you don’t have access to a computer forms will be available for collection at any police station in Trinidad and Tobago no Thursday April 9th. We have printed 75,000 forms.
There are supporting documents that you must produce: National ID card, proof of citizenship and the last pay slip as well as a bank or credit union statement.
Money will be sent to bank accounts and cheques will be made out for those with no bank accounts
We expect to receive forms on Tuesday April 14 Drop of the forms at 13 designated TT Post outlets
Phase Two will be for self-employed and those who are outside of NIS (whose records may not be up to date).
