SEA PREP: Education Ministry Reports Full Staff Turnout As Classes Resume For Students

Classes for Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) students resumed on Monday- giving them exactly one month of preparation ahead of the August 20th exam date.

In a statement on Monday afternoon, the Ministry of Education revealed the statistics for the attendance of teachers and students:

-100% attendance of Principals in the Education Districts.

-100% attendance of teachers in the Caroni, St. Patrick,  Port of Spain, South Eastern and St. George East Education Districts, while 99% in North Eastern and Victoria Education Districts.

-93-95% attendance of students in the seven Education Districts.

The Ministry called on parents to take advantage of the preparation classes. “Parents and guardians are encouraged to send their Standard Five (5) children to school to prepare for the upcoming SEA Examination, as their health and safety is assured,” it said.

A total of 19,344 students are set to sit the exam next month
