The search continues for 66 year old missing diver Reinaldo Novoa who disappeared off the coast of Manzanilla last evening.

Addressing the incident during Monday’s sitting of the House of Representatives, National Security Minister Stuart Young said air and coast guard vessels will conduct searches from Toco to the south-east coast.

“Based on the drift and past cases, landfall is generally expected to be made close to Balandra,” Young said.

He added that air and coast guard vessels from Tobago are also on standby to be used if ongoing searches are not successful.

Novoa, a retired nurse and pharmacy representative, was last seen doing an open dive at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Novoa is an experienced diver and went out to sea with a boat man.
