Sentencing In Sean Luke Murder Case Is Today

By Newsroom

Akeel Mitchell and Richard Chatoo, the two men convicted of murdering six year old Sean Luke, will know their full fate today, as sentencing in the case takes place.

Both men were found guilty of the crime exactly one month ago on July 23rd, by Justice Lisa Ramsumair Hinds.

It came 15 years after the child’s gruesome killing rocked Trinidad and Tobago.

Because they were teenagers at the time Luke was killed, a death sentence is off the table.

On March 26, 2006, Luke of Orange Valley Road, Couva, went missing.

The child’s decomposing body was found two days later in a sugarcane field.
