Seven additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the overall number of cases to 180. 

According to the Ministry of Health’s 10am update (August 2):

–        Three (3) are contacts of recently positive COVID-19 patients.

–        Four (4) cases are pending epidemiological investigation.  All established protocols have been implemented.

There are currently 37 active cases of the virus- 33 patients are receiving treatment at the Caura Hospital, while 4 are warded at the Couva Multi Training and Purpose Facility.
