A 17-year-old boy is expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate court after he reportedly shot himself in the leg following a confrontation with a 19-year-old man.

He is said to be under police guard at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. The incident took place at Chrissie Terrace in Enterprise yesterday. Police say the 17-year-old got into a confrontation with the 19-year old and drew a gun and in the ensuing scramble, the gun went off. He ran off after he shot himself in the leg and went to seek treatment at Mt. Hope.
