Navita Premchand is fighting for her life at the hospital after she was shot five times by gunmen who entered her workplace and opened fire.

Navita, 33, of St John’s Road, Avocat,  was obviously the target of the gunmen who arrived outside  Unique Bookstore on  Guapo Road, Fyzabad in a Nissan Tiida shortly before 9 am.

They entered the building and shot at the woman and ran out of the store as she slumped to the ground.

Navita was transported to the San Fernando General Hospital.
