Southern Division officers have arrested six people in two separate incidents for gun and ammo discoveries on Friday.

The Southern Division Task Force, Emergency Response Patrol, Area East Crime Patrol, and the Marabella Criminal Investigations Department conducted anti- crime exercises in Ste Madeleine.

The officers stopped the driver of a silver Almera vehicle along Palymra Main Road, Ste Madeleine, the vehicle was searched and the officers discovered one Beretta pistol fitted with a magazine and four rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.

The three occupants of the vehicle, two men and one woman, ages 18, 22 and 24 of Maloney Gardens were arrested in connection with the find.

In another incident officers stopped the driver of a purple Mitsubishi Lancer along Daisy Road, Ste Madeleine and conducted a search. During the search the officers discovered seven rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.
