Sixteen Bands, Five songs…

By Newsroom

Four large bands- including the reigning champions BP Renegades -have chosen Wrong Again by Skinny Banton as their tune of choice for Panorama 2020.

Renegades’ champion arranger Duvone Stewart who is aiming for a hat trick having won the titles back to back in 2018 and 2019 will face competition from the arrangers for  San Fernando’s Skiffle, Redemption Sound Setters of Tobago and Starlift, all of which have chosen the same tune for the competition.
Desperadoes who placed second last year with Nailah Blackman’s Iron Love, have stayed with the artist and  chose More Sokah as their tune of choice.

The competition will certainly heat up given that it is also the tune of choice of arch-rivals Trinidad All-Stars as well as St Augustine based  Birdsong and Tropical Angel Harps the only large band in Central Trinidad.

There is another showdown looming with the hugely popular Dear Promoter by Kes and Voice which is the tune of choice for  Supernovas of Surrey Village, Lopinot Exodus in Tunapuna,  Silver Stars on Tragarete Road as well as Fonclaire of South Trinidad.

Swappi’s remake of Feeling It is the tune of choice for  Tobago’s
Buccaneers, Invaders in Port of Spain and the  La Brea Nightingales

Legendary Panman Len Boogie Sharpe will stand out in the Panorama as the only arranger with his own composition, 2020 Vision, the tune of choice for the band which he founded, Phase II Pan Groove.
