Social distancing measures extended until the end of April in the US

By Newsroom

The deadline for social distancing in the United States has been extended to April 30th by US President Donald Trump.

Not too long ago he suggested that the guidelines could be relaxed as early as Easter, which falls in mid-April. Meanwhile, the White House medical adviser Dr Anthony Fauci has warned that the virus could kill up to 200,000 Americans. According to Dr Fauci it’s entirely conceivable that millions of Americans could eventually be infected.

The US now has more than 140,000 confirmed cases. As of yesterday, 2,493 deaths had been recorded in the country in relation to Covid-19.
