National Security Minister Stuart Young is receiving treatment at a hospital after he fell and injured himself this morning. This image taken from a video that is circulating online shows  the Minister on the ground.

Mr Young had just finished delivering his speech at the opening of the new Penal Fire Station when he stepped off the stage unto a box that was used as a step and he lost his balance.

He fell flat on his back and while many persons in the front row of the small crowd that gathered for the opening of the Fire Station all got up to help him, Young managed to get back on his feet. But he was hurt.

Fire Officers escorted the Minister to an ambulance from where he was taken for treatment at an unknown location.

He may have suffered injuries to his shoulder.
