A 39-year-old man from St. Francois Valley Road, Belmont, appeared before a Port of Spain Magistrate’s Court on April 7, 2025, after he was charged with two counts of Possession of Stolen Vehicles.
According to the TTPS, the accused appeared before Master Kimitria Gray on charges related to the seizure of two stolen Ford Ranger vehicles at an auto garage in the Belmont district on March 10, 2025. The vehicles, which were found with tampered chassis numbers, were later traced to be the stolen property involved in separate criminal incidents.
The first vehicle, a blue Ford Ranger, was reported in connection with a Robbery with Aggravation in the Marabella district. The second vehicle, an orange Ford Ranger, was linked to a Robbery with Violence in the Chaguanas district.
The man was granted bail of six hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($650,000.00) with a surety. The case has been transferred to the Port of Spain 11th Magistrate’s Court, where it will be heard again on April 16, 2025.
The investigation was led by Senior Superintendent Maharaj and Superintendent Cumberbatch.
