The planned, temporary shutdown of the Caroni Water Treatment Plant for maintenance works, began at noon today, Friday 9th August 2024, at noon, and is expected to continue through to noon on Sunday 11th August 2024. WASA has said that the works to be undertaken include critical electrical maintenance at the Plant, along with ancillary works along the Caroni North and South transmission pipeline network.
