Three Arrested, 16 Tickets Issued At Maracas Bay

Police issued 16 fixed penalty tickets while on patrol at the Maracas Bay on Saturday.

The offences ranged from driving without seatbelts to using mobile devices while driving, with the most prevalent offence being the prior having 11 tickets issued.

In addition to the fixed penalty notices, three men, ages 34, 40 and 47, were also arrested for varying violations. The transgressions include driving under the influence, use of obscene language, obstruction and resisting arrest.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is reminding all citizens to abide by the laws governing the use of the nation’s roadways, in effort to keep themselves and others safe.
