The search is on for three men believed to be involved in Monday’s home invasion in south Trinidad, in which cops killed four other suspects.

The robbery attempt took place at Krista Park, a gated community in Mayaro.

The bandits were shot after first opening fire on the officers as they arrived at the scene in response to a distress call.

None of the victims were physically injured during the incident.

Meanwhile, National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds has sung high praise for the TTPS in their handling of the incident, as well as the deadly Pennywise robbery where police also killed four men, two weeks ago.

“Everyone will note the great successes of the police in terms of their response… The police are on high alert, they are highly trained, ready and responsive. And I want to commend the Police Service for that kind of work in coming to defense to the people of Trinidad and Tobago,” the National Security Minister said.
