Two women, ages 28 and 57, and one many aged 30 were arrested on Thursday, following a major drug and narcotic find in the Marabella district.

The trio hails from Gopaul Street in Marabella.

Officers of the Marabella Police Station, Marabella Criminal Investigations Department, Canine Unit and Southern Division Task Force conducted the exercise between 2am and 2pm, in which several search warrants were executed.

They were able to find and seize one AK 47 assault rifle with magazine, one AR15 assault rifle with two magazines, one Glock 22 fitted with three magazines and an assortment of ammunition.

In addition 12.86 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of TT$160,000 was seized, along with 1.68 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of TT$660,000.

The trio was taken to the Marabella Police Station for processing. Investigations are continuing.
