Three Suspected Gang Members Arrested In Police Exercise

Three suspected gang members were among six men who were arrested yesterday during an ‘Operation Strike Back 3’ exercise conducted in Maloney.

Between 7pm to 11pm on Friday, police executed six search warrants at various locations in Maloney, targeting several priority offenders suspected to be members of a well -known gang in the Maloney area in relation to house-breaking and larceny and wounding enquiries.

This led to the arrest of six persons.

Three suspected gang members, ages 23, 24 and 34, all of Maloney Gardens, D’abadie, were arrested on wounding enquiries. Three other men, all aged 24, were also arrested. Two men were arrested for house-breaking and larceny, while the third was arrested on wounding enquiries.

Several known areas where nefarious activities are conducted were searched and officers conducted foot patrols in and around several buildings in the Maloney area. Several bushy and abandoned areas were searched.

The exercise was co-ordinated by ACP Belfon, Snr Supt Aroon Ramkhelawan and Supt Williams, supervised by Inspector Highly, Sgt Guelmo and conducted by officers attached to the Maloney CID.
