Tobago: 221 Incident Reports Following Hurricane Beryl

There has now been a total of 221 incident reports received by authorities in Tobago following the passage of Hurricane Beryl on Monday, with that number expected to rise in the coming days.

The most reported issues so far are fallen trees and roof damage, with the most affected areas being Mt. St. George, Scarborough Belle Garden, Roxborough, Mason Hall and Moriah.

Due to land saturation from the rainfall, further reports are expected.

“There has been a significant increase in the number of reports from Day 1 to Day 3, highlighting the impact of Hurricane Beryl. With persons now being able to reach out to the call centre and the TEOC, there is now a jump in the total number of reports,” TEMA added.
