Tobago Man Arrested, 156 Marijuana Trees Seized From Home

One man was arrested for possession of marijuana during an anti crime exercise conducted in Mason Hall, Tobago on Thursday. 

Around 4 pm, a party of officers  attached to the Emergency Respond Patrol Unit (ERP) were on mobile patrol, when they observed a large quantity of growing plants resembling marijuana in an open area at a premises along Belmont Road, Mason Hall.

The officers conducted enquiries and met a 40-year-old man residing at the said address. They then informed him that he exceeded the legal limit of having four growing plants on his property. PC Adams and a party of officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department visited the scene and conducted enquiries. When checked the marijuana amounted to156 trees.

The officers seized the marijuana trees and arrested the suspect.

PC Adams is continuing enquiries.
