Tribe : Carnival Is Not More Important Than Life and Limb

By Newsroom

“Carnival is important to us all. But not more important than life and limb,” Tribe Carnival stated on Monday becoming the first carnival stakeholder to issue a settlement on Carnival 2021 while noting that  it can only make plans when the “scientists, government and medical experts indicate what is best for everyone.” Also on Monday, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, in responding to a question about the 2021 Carnival season responded by saying “We will cross that bridge when we reach it.”

Previously The Chairman of the National Carnival Commission Winston Peters is on record as saying that there is a window of 90 days before a decision can be made on the fate of the 2021 season. See the full text of the statement by Tribe Carnival’s bandleader Dean Ackin.
