Two men and a woman have been arrested for allegedly beating a 73 year old doctor and stealing his Mercedes Benz vehicle.

According to a police report, Dr Krishna Amolsingh was outside his office located on the Eastern Main Road in Arouca at around 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, when he was approached by the trio, who demanded he pass over the keys to the vehicle. When he refused, he was beaten and choked.

One of the intruders then escaped in the vehicle, with the two others leaving in another direction.

Upon investigation, Arouca police were able to arrest the three persons- one man from Eastern Main Road, D’Abadie, a woman, 40, and a young man, 20, both from the Trincity Area.

The vehicle was later recovered at Orange Grove Road in Trincity.
