One woman and two men were charged yesterday for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

They are scheduled to appear virtually at the Arima Magistrates’ Court today.

Andrew Mehlal, 30, of California, Connon Samuel, 35, and Colleen Samuel, 32, both of Five Rivers, Arouca were arrested and charged yesterday by PC Romany.

The trio was detained after officers seized 31.9 grammes of cocaine during anti-crime exercise, Operation Strike Back 3, which included the search of two homes.

The exercise was conducted in the Eastern and Northern Divisions between the hours of 4 pm and 10 pm. It was co ordinated by ASP Coggins, Insp Highly, and supervised by Cpl Bedase and PC Morang.

It also included members of the Northern Division Task Force (NDTF) – Area Central and the NDTF Intel Team.
