Trump Taken To Hospital After Testing Positive For COVID-19

Less than 24 hours after testing positive for the coronavirus, US President Donald Trump is being taken to the hospital. 

He was transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre.

President Trump and First Lady, Melania, were both tested for the virus on Thursday after White House top aide Hope Hicks was positively diagnosed.

The President tweeted news of his and Melania’s diagnosis at 12:54am on Friday. 

Earlier on Friday  the President, aged 74, was said to be displaying mild symptoms but was “in good spirits”, however by Friday, international outlets reported that sources indicated Trump had a low-grade fever, chills, nasal congestion and cough.
