T&T Nationals Stranded In Guyana and Venezuela Will Be Allowed To Return

At least 22  persons who work in the oil sector in Guyana have been granted permission to return to Trinidad and Tobago after which the T&T nationals who have been stranded in Venezuela and Margarita will be allowed to enter the country, according to the National Security Minister, Stuart Young who said that he has had several requests from persons to reenter the country from as far as India and Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of National Security has also granted a request from a  T&T National in the Bahamas who was diagnosed with cancer and made a public appeal to be allowed to return.  They will have to “find their way back”.

“When they arrive the  Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will determine how they are handled. We continue to manage our borders very carefully and the decisions made after consultation with the Minister of Health and the  Prime Minister,” Minister Young said.
