The Health Ministry confirmed a total of 78 new COVID-19 cases today alone- making it the highest number of cases to be recorded in one day.

The evening update revealed 35 new positive tests were confirmed- in addition to the 43 positive cases recorded in the morning update. 

The Ministry notes that the results are from samples taken from August 5th to present.

Forty-five of the 78 new cases are pending epidemiological investigation, with the remainder being contacts of recently positive cases.
