The Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPOST) has confirmed that one of its employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, the Piarco Head Office will be closed for a deep cleaning and proper sanitizaion.

With a general election due in five days on August 10th, TTPOST assured that the delivery of polling cards will not be affected by this closure.

In addition the corporation said other important services such as pension and social welfare and cheques, will continue without a hiccup.

The Corporation says operations should return to normal by Friday, with the exception of its  Finance Department.
