The TTPS has announced the addition of 93 new vehicles to its fleet, with 166 vehicles being procured in total. According to the TTPS, an additional 73 vehicles are expected to be delivered by the end of December 2024.

“This significant boost to our vehicle resources is aimed at improving public safety and police effectiveness. The new vehicles will be distributed across all 10 Police Divisions and assigned to various Sections, Branches and Units of the TTPS. These vehicles will play a vital role in supporting our ongoing anti-crime initiatives, particularly in our efforts to curb serious crimes.

Commissioner of Police, Erla Harewood-Christopher noted that the new vehicles represent a major investment in the future of policing. “The addition of these vehicles significantly enhances our mobility and operational capacity, allowing us to respond more quickly to incidents and increase our visibility in communities. This will improve our ability to protect and serve the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago,” she stated.

This investment underscores the TTPS’s commitment to providing a safer environment for all citizens. We remain focused on utilizing these new resources to protect the lives and property of the people of Trinidad and Tobago. With this increased capacity, we anticipate that the benefits to public safety will be immediate and far-reaching.
