The family of Zephaniah Harripaul has confirmed that the decomposing body found down a precipice in Maracas last week was, in fact, the missing man.

Harripaul’s brother shared on Monday that they identified Zephaniah, who was clad in his work uniform, and thanked the public for their support.

Zephaniah’s body was found last Thursday, exactly one month after he went missing from his job at Tucker Energy Services in Chaguaramas.

The company said in a statement that it was “shocked and saddened” by the news.

“Over the past month, Tucker Energy employees have gathered daily to pray for a positive outcome. We are profoundly shaken by his passing and trust that the authorities will employ all resources necessary to find justice for his family. Tucker Energy Management and staff wish to express our sincere condolences to Zephaniah’s family. We remain in constant contact during this difficult time,” the company said.
