Two Additional COVID-19 Related Deaths Recorded, 36 More Test Positive

The Ministry of Health has revealed that two additional COVID-19 patients died overnight. The persons are both elderly males with co-morbidities. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 17.

Meanwhile, 36 additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

The Ministry emphasizes that the 36 positive cases show results from samples taken during the period August 20th to August 27th, and therefor is not representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

A cluster of 9 non-nationals is included in this group. The remaining 27 persons are nationals. All established protocols have been implemented.

Thirty-four persons have been discharged.

 COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (99)

Six Hundred and seventy- five (675) patients have been home quarantined under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices.

Forty- seven (47) patients are en-route/ being admitted to hospital

Thirty-six (36) new patients will be processed for admission.
