The Ministry of Health has revealed that two additional COVID-19 patients died overnight. The persons are both elderly males with co-morbidities. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 17.

Meanwhile, 36 additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

The Ministry emphasizes that the 36 positive cases show results from samples taken during the period August 20^th to August 27^th, and therefor is not representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

A cluster of 9 non-nationals is included in this group. The remaining 27 persons are nationals. All established protocols have been implemented.

Thirty-four persons have been discharged.

Six Hundred and seventy- five (675) patients have been home quarantined under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices.

Forty- seven (47) patients are en-route/ being admitted to hospital

Thirty-six (36) new patients will be processed for admission.
