Two Arrested In Tobago For Cultivation and Trafficking Cannabis And Cocaine

Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force (TDTF) Area East and Area West conducted operations yesterday, resulting in the arrests of two men for the cultivation and trafficking of cannabis and cocaine.

According to the TTPS, approximately 9:45 pm on Thursday 7th August, 2025, officers of the TDTF Area East proceeded to the residence of a 42-year-old man of Cardiff Road, Pembroke, Tobago. Upon arrival, officers observed several plants resembling Cannabis being cultivated in flower pots, buckets, and grow bags around the yard. A total of forty-two (42) Cannabis plants were found and seized.

The suspect was arrested and conveyed to the Roxborough Police Station. Investigations are ongoing. In a separate incident earlier that day, around 1:30 pm, officers from TDTF Area West, acting on intelligence received, conducted an operation at the residence of another man at John Gorman Trace, Crown Point, Tobago.

A search of the individual revealed 141 grams of dried Cannabis, a sum of $987 TTD in various denominations, one Barbados $2 bill, and a digital scale.

A subsequent search of the premises uncovered an additional 201.37 grams of Cannabis, along with cocaine in two forms: a cream-colored rock-like substance weighing 38.31 grams and a powdered form weighing 83.12 grams, as well as two digital scales. The man was arrested and transported to the Scarborough Police Station.

Investigations are continuing.
