Two Men Charged With Sexual Abuse of Minors, Granted Bail

Two men, ages 54 and 21, have been arrested and charged in two separate incidents of child sexual abuse.

The 54 year old, who is an Arima resident, was charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a minor, one count of sexual touching, and another count of causing a child to engage in sexual touching. He was granted bail in the sum of $350,000 when he appeared before the Arima Magistrates’ Court, on the condition he has no communication with the minor. The matter was dismissed until May 22nd.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old, a loader from Tobago, was charged with one count of sexual penetration of a 15 year old minor. He was granted $4,000 bail and must report to the Scarborough Police Station twice a week. The court also ruled that he has no communication with the girl. He is expected to appear before the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on May 21st.
