The TTPS has disclosed that two men are assisting police with their investigation into a robbery that occurred at a local proprietary establishment on June 1st.

According to police reports around 9 am on Thursday, two men entered a Marabella spa posing as customers. Upon entry, the men pretended to ask about services provided at the establishment when one of the men pulled out a gun and instructed persons to lie on the ground.

The proprietor and another individual were able to disarm and subdue the would-be robbers, the police were then contacted.

Officers immediately responded to the scene, where a .38 Special Amadeo Rossi revolver with three live rounds and .38 Special Ammunition were seized. The duo was arrested and they are both receiving treatment at hospital under police supervision. The men are expected to be charged for Assault with Intent to Rob, Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
