Two women honorees at Calypso Queen Finals

By Newsroom

A new Calypso Queen will be crowned on Sunday at the 36th edition of the  National Calypso Queen Competition which remains a project of the National Women’s Action Committee (NWAC).

It is the premier calypso competition for women. This year, sixteen artistes will be competing for the prestigious crown, in the show’s 36th national finals.

There will also be a guest performance by the reigning National Calypso Queen Sexy Suzie (Natasha Nurse).

Two distinguished women, Eintou Pearl Springer ( at right in photo) and Josanne Leonard (left)  will be honoured in this year’s finals for their contribution to national development and the elevation of social consciousness.
