The United National Congress extends its condolences to the family of Justice Herbert Volney who died on Wednesday morning at 69-years-old.

In a brief statement, the UNC said: “We are grateful for his service to Trinidad and Tobago as a judge and a Minister. May he rest in peace.”

Mr. Volney served under Kamla Persad-Bissessar in 2010 before being fired as Justice Minister in 2012 for his role in the Section 34 scandal.
