A heavy concentration of Sahara Dust is due over Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday into Wednesday, with peak concentrations occurring on Thursday.

Visibility will be notably reduced Tuesday through the remainder of the week, coinciding with the highest concentrations of dust.

The air quality will also be reduced to levels that are unhealthy for sensitive groups across Trinidad and Tobago, and for the first time for 2020, the possibility of unhealthy air quality for the general population is possible on Thursday.

The Southern Windward islands will be affected.
