Several of the Water and Sewerage Authority’s Surface Water Treatment facilities have been impacted by heavy rainfall this morning, with operations being halted at a number of Water Treatment Plants in the North East, North West and South Trinidad.

WASA says this is because of high turbidity resulting in flooded river conditions and clogged intake screens.
