Argentina cruised into the World Cup finals comfortably on Tuesday, after beating Croatia 3-0.

Lionel Messi scored from the penalty spot and Julian Alvarez struck twice to put the country through to its second World Cup final in eight years.

The second semifinal match happens today at 3pm, local time, when Morocco and France face off.

Morocco has exceeded all expectations in Qatar by beating second-ranked Belgium in the group stage and then eliminating European powerhouses Spain and Portugal in the knockout phase to reach the semifinals.

No African or Arab nation has ever gotten this far.

Wednesday’s match against France also has cultural and political connotations — Morocco was under French rule from 1912-1956.
