News of a woman being beheaded at her home in Penal on Tuesday sent shock waves across the nation, with many taking to social media to express their disgust over the gruesome killing.

The victim has been identified as Reshma Kanchan of Laltoo Trace, Penal.

A male suspect has been taken to hospital for injuries sustained to his throat- police believe it is from a failed suicide attempt. He is said to be in serious custody.

His victim was also said to have been chopped abut her body.
