Trinidad and Tobago’s Gabriella Wood (left in photo) won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in Walsall, England on Friday.  

Wood defeated England’s Jenille Jeng and India’s Aarti Sharma on her way to the +78Kg finals. 

But, the world number 52, Maan Tulika of India, stopped her from taking gold. 

Commenting on Wood’s performance, the National Judo Federation said it’s a sign that she will do well at her upcoming tournaments at in Abu Dhabi and Osaka, Japan.
