The lone fatality in a vehicular accident which occurred along the Uriah Butler Highway on Monday afternoon has been identified as Martin Hatem, the Director of Operations at Woodford Cafe in Chaguanas.

Mr. Hatem, 53, was proceeding south along the highway around 2:20pm when he reportedly lost control of his Kia Sportage in the vicinity of Bick’s.

The vehicle overturned several times.

His death has brought the road fatality figure for the year to 27.
