In some tragic news, an 11-year-old school girl has died after she was mauled by a dog. According to reports, she was visiting a relative’s home in San Fernando earlier today when one of her relative’s dogs got loose and entered the home allegedly killing the girl in a bedroom.

The 11-year-old girl of Fairview, Freeport was staying at the residence with her brother and both of them were watching television inside their uncle’s house along Solomon Street, Vistabella.

The incident is said to have happened around 11 am. Other reports indicate that the dog, which has been described as an American Bulldog did not release its hold on the girl until the owner some 10-15 minutes later. Sadly, she died at the scene.
