$40,000 Worth Of Marijuana Trees Destroyed in Carapo

An air-rifle was discovered and marijuana trees worth an estimated $40,000 were destroyed by officers of the Northern Division, during an anti-crime exercise conducted by officers of the Northern Division Task Force and the Canine Unit between 5:00am and 8:00am, on Sunday in the Carapo area.

During the exercise, officers proceeded to Pascal Lane, Carapo, where they found one Gamo air rifle, 10 rounds of ammunition. 

Officers then proceeded to a vacant lot of land at Arima Old Road, in the vicinity of Cumberbatch Lane, where they found and destroyed 40 fully grown marijuana trees. 

Investigations are ongoing.
